Better than the average Bear OR Christmas book.
I was so tired of childrens books about cute bears and even more tired of sappy Christmas fantasy tales that I almost didn't even look at this one. However, the storyline is clever and the plot(Yes, it has one)has several interesting twists. The pictures are endearing and lovely. Yes, grandma did indeed buy one more bear-Christmas-fantasy book, and her grandson loves it dearly. The story line is interesting enough that it should be appealing for several Christmases.

Little Bear can't wait for Thanksgiving, nor can readers.
This has been a family favorite for years. Little Bear is invited to eat Thanksgiving dinner. Because of hibernation he hasn't heard of it and his friends explain. They describe the 1st thanksgiving, and the mouth-watering table setting. Children can't help but develop an excitement for Thanksgiving as Little Bear does. A delightful book.

This book was a favorite of mine when I was growing up in the early 60's. Little Brown Bear learns lots of valuable lessons that children enjoy. He is a character that they can relate to and share his adventures. Afraid of the dark is a wonderful bedtime story.Children will enjoy this as much now as they did 40 years ago!

A book about how important family really is
This story is about Little Brown Bear who doesn't want to go to sleep during all of winter. Instead he follows the geese south and takes a train with them. They do many fun things together. When he goes to a beach and builds a cave to sleep in, he realizes how bad he wants to go home. He wants to be with his mom and dad with his nice cozy bed. It is like in life when you are off somewhere where your parents aren't and you are having a lot of fun. After so much of that fun though, you start missing your family and the comfort of your own home. So, no matter what, sometime you will want to come back home. This book teaches you how important families are to people. It is a great book for little children to hear or read.

GREAT STORIES ABOUT BEING HAPPY WITH WHAT YOU HAVE
THE STORIES IN THIS BOOK TEACH CHILDREN THAT BEING HAPPY WITH WHAT THEY HAVE IS THE BEST THING THEY CAN DO. THE COW OVER THE MOUNTAIN TEACHES THAT THINGS MAY LOOK BETTER FAR AWAY, BUT UP CLOSE THEY ARE NO BETTER THAN WHAT IS ALREADY NEAR THEM. THIS BOOK ALSO TEACHES CHILDREN TO BE PROUD OF WHO THEY ARE AND THEIR OWN ABILITIES.

nice size, fun illustrations, design encourages creativity
As a journal writer I am always looking for new journals. This one has been real pleasing to write in. The spacing of the lines is just right and the illustrations are charming. I like the blue ribbon that holds your place in the journal so you can easily pick up where you left off. I bought an extra copy, so when this one is full I can start another Little Polar Bear journal. Get yourself a copy and ENJOY!

Lars Is On Another Adventure
It's hard to resist this beautifully illustrated series about Lars, the Little Polar Bear. In this edition, Lars meets Sasha, a tiger, and they both have to find their way home after stowing away on a Russian train. Along the way they discover each of their natural talents, and there's a nice message about appreciation for parents, the ocean, and each person's unique abilities. Not sure how accurate the geography is, but it doesn't really matter. The introduction of different animals and scenery is what makes the books so appealing. All of these stories have a happy ending. My son likes to roar and point to the tiger and bear on each page.
